Legalzoom was fast, efficient and easy. My paperwork presented no problems, and it was pushed right through the court system. This was a difficult situation for me, but at least I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to have a lawyer do it.

I've incorporated several companies in several different states. Once I filled out the paperwork myself, once I used MyCorporation.com, and once I used Legalzoom. Legalzoom was professional, fast, and cheap. I was very impressed with their customer service. I called several times to inquire about the progress of the order, and I got courteous and knowledgable support reps every time. I loved the binder package that came with the order including the company seal. Very professional. If I incorporate again (and chances are I will!) I'm definitely using Legalzoom.

Having recently married and recently new to Florida, my husband and I had need for legal services and knew no one, let alone any legal professionals. We were about a month away from my husband leaving the country to become a United Nations Peacekeeper in Europe. He has now been there for about 6 months and is in constant threat.... Prior to leaving we contacted your company and requested information to do a less that simple will. We had properties, holdings and needed Trust provisions in the event of an emergency. July 31st of last year (2003) my mother was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. My mother’s health had been fine to that point. They had first thought she had pneumonia. She had been a long time smoker her entire life. When finally discovered, the cancer was very far advanced. As my mother tried chemotherapy she was in and out of the hospital. I am a high school teacher and one day a friend and I were sitting at lunch and we thought of whether one could get a will on the Internet. My mother had very little funds but did own her house... Legalzoom provided exceptional support by their team of supporters. My wife suggested I use LegalZoom, she had seen an endorsement while watching the Today Show on NBC. At first I was skeptical about using an Internet company for legal assistance. Their e mails in response to my concerns were fast and calmed my uncertainty. I ordered a living trust from legalzoom.com. I received the documents in the mail today. Never having made a living trust, I needed to make a couple changes to it after looking at it. I tried to make these changes at the website but felt more comfortable speaking to someone first. I called the toll free number and was greeted by Ms. Ives. She was understanding, courteous, and professional. After a couple brief phone calls, she advised me on how to most quickly make the needed changes to my living trust. I did as she advised. Within an hour, I received an e mail from Ms. Ives stating that she was making all the necessary corrections and would send an amended will out soon. Ms. Ives is an asset to the organization. Her professionalism reflects well on her and her management. Legalzoom.com is an outstanding site that has made making a quality living trust easy for me.

As an attorney, I do not trust a lot of people to legal document prep, however LegalZoom absolutely shocked me with how much attention they paid to the details and how much they cared about the quality of their work. There are a lot of companies that simply do not care about the details. I have many clients who I recommed use LegalZoom, if they cannot afford my fees for a simple filing.

I had an issue when one of my partners pulled their funding from the venture at the last minute, after I had submitted my paperwork. I called Legalzoom and they helped me get it all cleared up. I'm serious. I had to go back to my lawyer 4 times and it had already cost me about $900 for what I did for about $60 at legalzoom. After the forth time, I said forget it and went online. I did everything I wanted to do, they sent it to me on paper more professional than what my lawyer (it's a small thing i know, but for $900 you'd expect better than printer paper!). They gave me instructions on how to check it and sign it, the witnesses I needed to have watch me sign it, and how to make changes in the future. I'd definitely use the service again. My husband said we should have made a living trust and legalzoom offers that, too.

Having just started my 4th business (hopefully a successful one), I thought I knew everything about starting a business from scratch. That was obviously not the case. For the first 3 businesses, I formed 3 separate LLCs with the help of a local attorney. I think I paid close to $2000 for each! I thought I was getting a good deal. But I remember thinking that these LLCs were very simple, especially since all 3 LLCs were set up exactly the same. When I started the 4th company, I heard about LegalZoom on the radio. So I decided to give them a try. I went online, completed the questionnaire, and submitted my payment. The process was very simple, and the best part was that they would send me email updates regarding the status of my LLC filing. (your company name is available, documents have been sent to the Secretary of State, your LLC has been formed, here is your filing number, your tax ID number has been obtained, etc.). All this for less than $500. I even got a company kit, with custom stock certificates, seal, and more. When compared to the first 3 LLC formed through an attorney, I have to say Legalzoom's service was by far the best deal. I still remember calling the lawyer countless times for status checks and such....Kinda frustrating especially paying $2K for each LLC. Still wondering why he never gave me a discount(???). Forgive me for writing on and on about LegalZoom....but I just thought people should know. From one entreprenuer to another.... One last note: I still use my lawyer for complicated matters litigation, contracts, and legal advice......but not for simple matters like setting up a simple LLC or registering a trademark. I'd go with Legalzoom. But before making any important decisions, research online, you'll be surprised what's out there. Good luck to all!!! Edward K. I did my DBA through LegalZoom and honestly I thought it was taking a while to get my order. I called them and they explained what was going on. basically, i guess because they have to work with the county, they have to wait for the county to get back to them. But they were great. It took only a couple extra days after I called, they gave me a discount for any other product, and i received emails along the way telling me the status of my order.

I just wanted to say that I had a really surprising experience with Legal Zoom. What was almost a disaster was turned around by a customer representative named Tanya. When I submitted my LLc paperwork, I made a mistake in adding the shares allocated to an investor in the company. It was several days before I caught it. When I called Legal Zoom, Tanya answered and told me that the paperwork had already been submitted to the state and there wasn't much that could be done now! Well, I was obviously disappointed and Tanya asked me to hold on. She personally contacted the VP of Business Services who fixed the issue himself. I don't know what they did... resubmitted the paperwork, or amended them, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that Tanya and the folks at Legal Zoom really went above and beyond.
