that you need for an S–Corporation?
Jake:
All the documents that you need for a normal corporation is exactly
what you need for an S–Corporation. However, the Articles of
Incorporation, the Bylaws, the Resolutions, and you would have also
have to obtain the EIN. But one additional filing that you have to do
with the IRS is the 2553.
The
2553 declares to the IRS that you wish to be taxed as an S–Corporation.
You have to sign it. You have to get Social Security numbers of all the
shareholders. They have to sign it. Then you have to send that in to
the IRS. Usually they want that to be in certified mail so you have
proof that you actually did send it.
