Travis: So, would you say that for an individual staring a new business that the benefits of owning an LLC outweight the drawbacks?

Jake: I think that in many cases when you consider liability protection, they definitely do. If the taxes are relatively equal, in terms of how much you get taxed, the benefit of forming an LLC is definitely in having limited liability protection for your personal assets.

That way no one can go after your home or your car or anything personal in nature.
